Rensair makes light work of air purity at Liberty GYM Sarlat

Liberty GYM Sarlat, a fitness club based in southwestern France, has selected Rensair air purification to protect its members from coronavirus. Part of a nationwide franchise network, the club offers a variety of activities, with top-of-the-range facilities and qualified fitness coaches. 

“Our top priority is the health and safety of our members”, says Jean-Claude Roques, Président at Liberty GYM Sarlat. ”The medical authorities now believe that COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through the air. In indoor spaces, especially where exercise is taking place, that threat is amplified due to enhanced aerosol generation, so we needed to find a practical solution to protect everyone at the gym.” 

Jean-Claude chose Rensair because of its hospital heritage and independent validations from leading scientific laboratories. Of particular interest was a recent test conducted by the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) to determine the unit’s performance in reducing the concentration of Covid-19 particles in the air. The test recorded a particle reduction rate of 99.98 % in 15 minutes and above 99.99 % in 30 minutes. Furthermore, the DTI reported 100% elimination of virus particles on the filter, with zero traces detected. 

Another key consideration was the unit’s large cleaning capacity. Rensair uses a robust centrifugal fan, which creates much higher pressure than axial fans commonly used in other air purifiers and enables the unit to clean up to 560m³ of air per hour, ideal for an open space with high occupancy.
